Ronit Furst

Ronit Furst is an Israeli multidisciplinary artist, working with  paint,  sculpture and ceramics. Ronit, alongside her husband, established her own eyewear brand in 2002, following her inability to find glasses which were interesting or unique. So she hand painted her old frames and received many compliments from people assuming they were a designer brand from New-York or Paris. Therein she identified an opportunity…

Furst’s designs are inspired by her own art works.

The brand was popularised in the UK by Prue Leith who wore Ronit Furst glasses in her early days as a judge on GBBO. Prue then collaborated with Ronit to launch her own range, but now has gone on to work with different designers.

The colour which Ronit brings to the optical arena appeals to the unconventional, free spirited and fun-loving glasses wearer.

She works with a team of three painters to paint every pair by hand. You may even be able to buy a pair painted by Ronit herself. Markings on the side of the glasses frame indicate who the specific painter was for each pair.
